What should the community know about who you are?
I’ve been performing and pumping the streets of (Tacoma) the 253 for 12 years and your current reigning MX Community 2024
What passions do you have that you want the community to know about?
My biggest passion in the community is fundraising. Having started most of my drag through efforts with the Imperial Court System, I had a chance to help collect money for individuals and organizations that were able to help others on a larger scale. Making some money is cool, but helping someone get help or assistance otherwise unable to makes me feel truly Dalyteful.
What do you think your role is in the community?
I believe my role in this community is to remind folks you can do anything you set your mind to. Growing up I didn’t have a lot of opportunities for investing in me due to factors for low income families so I never thought I would get them growing up. Been drag showed me anyone can be anything with determination and drive. It was an adventure but look at me today. And you can do anything you want to.
What does the community mean to you?
The community means everything from simple friends to forever family. The love and support I have received over the years has given me such a drive and purpose to never stop and never give up.
The community literally saved my life. During my career, I have come to terms with so much trauma that I have undergone. But through art, expression & counsel, I finally have a vision of the future and now clean for 6 years of man altered substances life has much more chance at being a Dalyte.
What would your wishes be for our community in the future?
I wish there was more love and acceptance. So much in turmoil even in our community. There just needs to be more love, ya know. We are mascots for mental awareness. And sometimes that just starts with being kind and having compassion.
What does Queer mean to you?
Queer means everything other than normal. What’s the point in being normal? You should stand out & never blend in. Be the statement made without uttering a word. Being queer reminds me that I don’t have to fit in to feel good. I am unique & I am a Dalyte. There’re not many folks like me, that’s for sure. But we all are here to support, uplift & carry each other. That’s what queer means to me.
