I’m the CEO/ Creator for international lifestyle brand Rossario George.
What passions do you have that you want the community to know about?
Bringing beauty and joy to the world thru fashion, makeup, home and with how I present myself to others.
What do you think your role is in the community?
I am an influential figure known for luxury lifestyle and elegance.
What does the community mean to you?
Being a member of the LGBTQ community means empowerment. Why? Because the community faces threats to our freedom at every turn yet we endure.
How has the community helped shape who you are?
I was gay from the womb but didn’t at the time understand what this meant. In addition, when I was a teenager, I was picked on and bullied. Around 20 I became a fixture in the NYC gay community, and it was there where I truly became ME, and I never looked back since.
What would your wishes be for our community in the future?
That we make sure we stay a community. I feel over the years we have become fractured. We need to look to each other for strength, understanding and support.
What does Queer mean to you?
It means being fabulous and different. It’s thinking uniquely and being true to oneself. It’s a powerful feeling being queer, and I am thankful I was born this way.
