Gay Events in Seattle: August 2023

Seattle is a vibrant and progressive city that celebrates diversity and inclusion. The city has a rich and diverse gay scene, with many bars, clubs, saunas, and events catering to the LGBTQ+ community. August is a great month to visit Seattle, as the weather is warm and sunny, and there are many gay events happening throughout the city. Pacific Northwest Black Pride 2023

Pacific Northwest Black Pride is a four-day event that aims to foster inclusion and advance equity within the Black LGBTQIA+ community of the greater Pacific Northwest area. The event is organized by POCAAN (People of Color Against AIDS Network), a community-based organization that provides health and social services to people of color. Pacific Northwest Black Pride 2023 will take place from August 9 to 13 at POCAAN’s headquarters (4437 Rainier Ave S, Seattle). The event will feature workshops, panels, performances, parties, and networking opportunities for Black LGBTQIA+ people and allies. Dancing Queens at Boombox Bar

Dancing Queens is a weekly party every Thursday night at Boombox Bar, a new queer-friendly venue in White Center. The party features drag shows, DJs, dancing, karaoke, and drink specials. Dancing Queens is hosted by local drag queens Betty Wetter and Cookie Couture, who bring their humor, sass, and glamour to the stage. The party starts at 9 pm and goes until 2 am. Flock! A Queer Stand Up Comedy Showcase

Flock! is a monthly queer stand up comedy showcase that features some of the best local and national comedians. The showcase is hosted by queer comedian Val Nigro, who has performed at Bumbershoot, Portland Queer Comedy Festival, and Seattle International Comedy Competition. Flock! takes place every second Thursday of the month at Olmstead, a cozy bar and restaurant in Capitol Hill. The show starts at 9 pm and tickets are $15 online or $20 at the door. Mx. A Queer/Bar Drag Show

Mx. A Queer/Bar Drag Show is a weekly drag extravaganza every Friday and Saturday night at Queer/Bar, one of the most popular gay bars in Seattle. The show features some of the most talented drag performers in the city, including La Saveona Hunt, Kaleena Markos, Stacey Starstruck, Bosco, Lucy Tealheart Paradisco, and more. The show also features guest stars from RuPaul’s Drag Race and other national drag competitions. The show starts at 9 pm and tickets are $10 online or $15 at the door. Dream Girls Drag Brunch

Dream Girls Drag Brunch is a monthly drag brunch that takes place every third Saturday of the month at Dreamland Bar and Diner, a new queer-friendly eatery in Fremont. The brunch features a delicious menu of breakfast classics and cocktails, as well as a fabulous drag show by some of Seattle’s finest drag queens. The show is hosted by Mama Tits, who has been voted Seattle’s Best Drag Queen multiple times. The brunch has two seatings: 11 am and 1 pm. Tickets are $15 online or $20 at the door.
