As someone who has never been to Idaho but has heard all the same stories as ya’ll, I have my reservations about going. The beautiful landscape alone is enticing enough to make one want to experience the state but as a queer person, I look not only for the perfect selfie spot but also queer friendly locations where I can be myself.
I’m no stranger to a stiff cocktail so a must have is a queer safe watering hole where I can wet my beak and I think I may have found the spot. With the limited access to queer safe bars or restaurants, this space takes the cake! Very out and proud and loud as well as unapologetic, The Balcony Club in Boise Idaho seems like the perfect place to have a drink, have some fun and feel safe/at home as a queer person either visiting or as a resident of Idaho. https://www.thebalconyclub.com/
